Rampardos is essentially absent from singles (effectively 0% usage). Despite base 165 Attack being one of the highest in the game, its base 58 Speed and 60 Defense make it impossible to function in singles. Pure Rock typing has numerous weaknesses to Water, Grass, Fighting, Ground, and Steel, and without priority, Rampardos rarely gets to attack before being taken out.
Rampardos has a niche doubles presence at 0.06%, rank 188, exclusively in Trick Room teams that weaponize its low Speed. Sheer Force powers up Rock Slide (doubles spread) and Head Smash significantly. Hard Stone is held at 66.8%. Farigiraf (9.7%) sets Trick Room; Torkoal (8.5%) provides Drought sun. Vivillon (6.2%) is another frequent partner, likely setting up sleep conditions to enable Rampardos to fire freely.
Playstyle:Rampardos is unplayable without Trick Room. Farigiraf sets Trick Room and Armor Tail prevents Fake Out. Under reversed Speed, Brave nature Rampardos fires Rock Slide as Sheer Force-boosted spread damage across both opponents, Head Smash for maximum single-target damage, Hammer Arm or Brick Break for coverage. Hard Stone at 66.8% amplifies Rock-type damage further. Torkoal's Drought weakens Water-types threatening Rampardos.
