Glalie occupies a narrow niche in singles via its Moody ability, stalling behind Substitute and Protect while waiting for huge random stat boosts. Ranked 110th with 0.43% usage, it can theoretically snowball past any opponent once sufficiently buffed, but its pure Ice typing leaves it extremely vulnerable to Fighting, Rock, and Steel coverage. Leftovers sustains through the luck-dependent setup phase.

Playstyle：Lead with Substitute to block damage and trigger Moody each turn, Protect to preserve the sub. Leftovers provides HP sustain through the setup. Freeze-Dry covers Water-types, Sheer Cold is the panic-button OHKO. Speed EVs are heavily invested to set up a Substitute before opponents move; the win condition is accumulating enough random stat boosts to overwhelm any check.

Glalie is essentially absent from doubles (effectively 0% usage). Its Moody-based random strategy is too slow and unreliable for doubles' fast tempo. Pure Ice typing is crushed by the omnipresent Rock Slide and Earthquake coverage, and it lacks the support utility needed for the format.

Mega Glalie is a fringe option at 0.04% usage, rank 199 in singles. Refrigerate converts Normal-type moves to Ice, turning Explosion and Body Slam into devastating Ice-type attacks. It functions as a one-shot wallbreaker, often maximizing Speed and Attack to hit hard before going down, but its pure Ice typing means it falls quickly to any physical coverage.

Playstyle：Equip Glalitite to Mega Evolve; Refrigerate turns Explosion into a massive Ice-type nuke and Body Slam into reliable STAB. Taunt shuts down support opponents, Ice Shard provides priority. Max Speed with a positive nature to outpace key targets. The ideal play pattern is to blast through Dragon/Flying/Grass weak opponents and exit via Explosion.

Mega Glalie holds a marginal 0.08% doubles presence at rank 175. Refrigerate Explosion can wipe both opposing slots simultaneously, making it a surprise finisher in Trick Room teams alongside Farigiraf. Body Slam provides consistent STAB. However, it is a one-trick pony lacking staying power; once Explosion is used, Mega Glalie contributes little.

Playstyle：In doubles, use Glalitite to Mega Evolve; Refrigerate Explosion hits both opponents simultaneously for massive Ice-type damage. Body Slam is the main STAB option, Ice Shard handles priority needs. Best used in Trick Room teams led by Farigiraf, moving last to maximize Brave nature payoff. Explosion serves as the team's nuclear close button.
