Mudsdale

Mudsdale registers a 0% usage rate in the current singles metagame and is absent from competitive play. Its pure Ground typing exposes it to Water, Grass, and Ice — three of the most common offensive types — while a 35 base Speed means it almost always moves last. Even with Stamina stacking its already solid defenses, the numbers show no players currently find a place for it on their singles teams.

Mudsdale sits at 0.42% usage in doubles, ranked 103rd — firmly on the fringe. Its Ground typing provides immunity to Electric attacks and absorbs Ground moves aimed at teammates, which keeps it relevant alongside Choice Scarf Gholdengo (10.3% teammate rate). With 125 Attack and 100 Defense backed by Stamina or Inner Focus, it can anchor the physical side, but 35 Speed means it is almost always outpaced in doubles. Teams bring it in mainly to leverage its typing and bulk as a partner enabler.

Playstyle：In doubles Mudsdale runs two distinct builds. The dominant one picks Inner Focus (76.4%) with Protect (22.1%) and Heavy Slam (20.4%), tanking Ground-type attacks without flinching and retaliating against Steel and Rock foes; Sitrus Berry (59.1%) is the default item, restoring HP after it takes a hit. The minority Stamina set (15.3%) leans into stacking Defense on each incoming physical move. Offensively Earthquake (17.8%) and High Horsepower (11.2%) provide reliable STAB, while Curse (14.9%) combines with its massive physical bulk and a Rock-type move to transform it into a late-game physical tank. Brave with maximum Attack is effectively standard — the two leading Brave spreads together cover over 60% of usage — turning the 35 Speed liability into a power advantage and letting it act before slow teammates like Choice Scarf Gholdengo and Sylveon.
