Sinistcha sees only 0.75% usage in singles, sitting at rank 89 and appearing on very few teams. Its Grass/Ghost typing grants full immunity to Normal and Fighting while resisting Water, Electric, Grass, and Ground, but Fire, Ice, Flying, Ghost, and Dark all hit at 2x, so its bulk has clear limits. Heatproof runs at 81.8% and is the load-bearing piece: the ability cuts the Fire weakness from 2x to 1.5x, which is what lets the set actually function.
Playstyle:Matcha Gotcha at 22.7% and Strength Sap at 20.3% form the offensive-recovery core: the former delivers 80 power with built-in healing, while the latter drains a physical attacker’s Attack and restores HP in return. Shadow Ball at 11.1% and Hex at 10.9% round out coverage, with Hex doubling in power when the target is statused. Stun Spore at 10.3% and Calm Mind at 10.2% support a boost-oriented path. Sitrus Berry leads items at 45.4%, Leftovers follows at 19.7%; Sitrus triggers on a decisive hit and lets the set survive long enough to set up. The Bold 32/0/32/0/2/0 spread at 45.8% pours almost everything into Defense, with the clear goal of staying alive long enough for Strength Sap and Matcha Gotcha to do their work.
At 26.05% with a rank of 7 in doubles, Sinistcha is a firmly established part of the format. The Grass/Ghost typing is exploited to the fullest here: full Normal and Fighting immunity lets it absorb Fake Out and a flood of priority without cost, and the Ghost typing means it cannot be hit by Extreme Speed or other Normal-type priority, which keeps it safe against scarf-locked physical attackers. Hospitality sits at 99.6% of sets, providing 25% max HP healing to the whole team each turn, a scarce commodity in drawn-out wars.
Playstyle:Matcha Gotcha at 24.5% remains the primary damage source. Rage Powder at 24.2% is essentially tied with it, signaling that the set’s central job in doubles is to redirect single-target attacks onto itself. Protect at 19.8% and Trick Room at 19.3% follow: Protect extends the longevity plan, while Trick Room turns the set into a slow hard hitter under room conditions. Life Dew at 5.8% adds another layer of team healing. On items, Colbur Berry leads at 35.6% to block Dark-type priority and switching punishment, Kasib Berry at 20.4% answers Ghost-type threats, and Occa Berry at 14.6% softens Fire damage; together the three occupy 70.6% of slots, showing that in a format with wide offensive coverage, type-specific berries outrank general recovery items. The Bold 32/0/14/0/20/0 spread at 24.5% pushes Special Defense higher to absorb the special attackers it most commonly faces across from it.
