The author's whole-season goal was to reach Champion rank using all three Sinnoh starters at once, so the team grew out of a Sinnoh mono build. Sash Infernape leads to set up with Stealth Rock, Will-O-Wisp and Encore, opening the door for Torterra and Mega Lopunny; Torterra eats two Choice Scarf Garchomp Outrages, boosts back up and reverse-sweeps, with Giga Drain keeping it healthy. Empoleon is the second setup pivot, chipping with Yawn plus Stealth Rock and using Competitive to wall Starmie, Delphox and Espathra. The early build leaned too hard on Lopunny, so wins came down to move accuracy and fast boosted Megas were a pain; the fix was a second Mega ace, Baton Pass Espathra and Cosmic Power Mega Clefable, which check fast threats like Mega Lopunny and balance the physical/special spread.Build article →

Build article →
The primary game plan centers on Garchomp (Stealth Rock lead), Mega Florges (Grass Oath for Speed boosting), and Choice Scarf Basculegion as a straightforward offensive trio. Against teams that hold Basculegion for last, a secondary plan runs Basculegion plus pivot Corviknight. Facing a proliferation of anti-Florges techs late in the season, Mega Lucario was added as the second Mega: its All-Out Pummeling has a similar damage profile to Florges's Ruination and handles Scizor and similar threats that Florges loses to. The fifth slot went to a bulky Leech Seed plus Substitute Meowscarada, extremely effective against Starmie-Umbreon-style cores and Mega Gengar teams. The author's most painful weakness is Sash Ceruledge—nothing on the team deals with it cleanly and the only answer is to get Stealth Rock up first.Build article →
This team was thrown together impulsively in two days after the author lost their previous build, yet climbed to a final rank of 298 in Season 3. The core idea came from spotting a synergy post pairing Mega Staraptor and Mega Delphox, with Empoleon added as a pivot target; both Mega slots run Substitute to scout and dodge support moves. Overqwil handles physical threats, lays Toxic Spikes, and packs Haze for setup and Baton Pass teams, while Empoleon sets Stealth Rock and fakes a Torrent attacker — a bluff that earned two surrenders in practice. Scarf Garchomp is the real win condition: soften the opponent with the walls first, then sweep clean. The author admits losing several winnable games simply due to only two days of practice with an unfamiliar team.Build article →
The team is built around Scovillain supported by Mega Glimmora, Orthworm, Aegislash, Mega Blastoise, and Meowscarada. The author found that in the M-A metagame without power items and without legendary Pokemon, setup sweepers face less resistance, making Scovillain's Leech Seed plus Substitute loop consistently effective across many matchups. Mega Glimmora's disguise benefits from Scovillain's Leftovers bluffing a non-Mega set, while Toxic Spikes plus Glimmora's passive damage form a steady drain chain. Orthworm's Shed Tail creates clean pivot opportunities for Aegislash or Blastoise to set up, and directly counters the popular Gengar+Umbreon pair. Aegislash with Focus Sash uses Orthworm relays for Swords Dance+Shadow Sneak sweeps. Meowscarada runs Electric Seed Trick and keeps opponents guessing. The author's identified weakness is Mega Gyarados, which the team struggles against structurally.Build article →

The author built this team around reducing the number of mind-games and switch-ins by choosing a direct-matchup style, then reasoned that if this style is weak to stall/cycle teams, solving that matchup would be enough to beat the whole meta. The core is Focus Energy Archaludon as the near-permanent lead (99% lead rate), boosting up and firing Draco Meteor to dismantle cycle cores, with Flash Cannon for Fairy-types and Thunderbolt for Primarina and Corviknight. When Archaludon can't finish the job, Sash Basculegion cleans up with priority Aqua Jet and can use Agility to outspeed other Sash users. Mega Staraptor (80% usage) handles matchups Archaludon struggles with, like Garchomp and Glimmora, by simply clicking Close Combat. The author names Gyarados and Mimikyu as the biggest threats, with Sash Garchomp, Gengar, and Mamoswine also being major headaches; Mega Blastoise is close to an auBuild article →

The team is built on a Toxic Spikes strategy combining Umbreon, Mega Gengar, and Focus Sash Glimmora, finishing M-1 at rank 301. The author argues that the standard Umbreon build with Stealth Rock and Yawn has three problems in this meta: reduced sleep mechanics, predictable Stealth Rock turns, and widespread Lum Berry usage. Instead, Glimmora leads with Toxic Spikes while Mega Gengar and Umbreon run a cycle against poisoned opponents using Cursed Body and Will-o-Wisp pressure. Mega Gengar's Hex becomes devastatingly powerful under poison. Umbreon runs a maximum Special Defense set with -Speed nature so Corviknight's U-turn imposes cost on the opponent. Primarina flexes between lead, cycle anchor, and Perish Song finisher. Mega Starmie is used purely for speed tier above Florges. The author identified the critical flaw post-season: Gengar and Starmie attract Dark-type answers that the team has no good answer to, and Starmie should have been Lopunny.Build article →
The author returned to a familiar core of Glimmora, Mega Lopunny, and Basculegion after finding the ladder full of Hippowdon, as this combination reliably breaks through it. Glimmora leads with a Focus Sash and full Speed/SpAtk investment, using Toxic Spikes or direct chip to funnel opponents into range for the sweepers; Mega Lopunny runs max Attack with Triple Axel to cover Hippowdon, Garchomp, Dragonite, Staraptor, and more, dramatically widening selection options. Mimikyu snowballs early wins with Curse and Leftovers, bulky enough to take a +1 Gyarados Waterfall, while Basculegion cleans up Hippowdon and pivots out against threats like Blaziken and Delphox that pressure Lopunny. Archaludon with Oran Berry and Stamina ability wins straight-up exchanges against Mega Metagross and Mawile; Charizard handles stall teams, going 5-1 against them. The team's biggest strength is that every memBuild article →

The team is built around one goal: get Kingambit on the field and let it clean up. The key axis is pairing a fast, levitating Mega with Kingambit — for example, opponents forced to run a scarf Garchomp to handle Mega Delphox end up handing Kingambit a free Swords Dance. The standard lead trio is Glimmora (Stealth Rock, Spikes, Toxic Spikes setup) plus Mega Staraptor (snowballing via Counter-Feint ability) plus Kingambit (Sucker Punch and Iron Head for the finish). Mega Delphox runs Magical Flame and Encore to lock mirror matchups and create setup opportunities for Kingambit or Mimikyu. Mimikyu with Life Orb handles fighting-types and acts as a check for threats Kingambit struggles against; Mega Starmie's main role is deterrence — its presence discourages opponents from bringing fighting and ground types. Acknowledged weaknesses include Iron Defense Corviknight, Light Clay Sableye, and MeBuild article →

The team is named after its double Toxic Spikes, built by mashing a Wish Mega Delphox squad and a Mega Victreebel squad together. Mega Delphox runs Wish, Magical Flame, Psychic and Protect as a do-everything pivot that is mildly good and mildly bad into everything, while Sash Meowscarada is the first spiker, its Overgrow Trick Flower hitting absurdly hard. Archaludon with Leftovers, Substitute and Protect is the author's pick for strongest mon, Hippowdon is the dedicated Gengar answer, and Kingambit plus Mega Victreebel close games, with Victreebel binding and Strength-Sapping leads down and being a stable answer to Mega Lopunny. The two Megas can't be brought together. The author admits the team plays too passively and drew nearly every matchup, and never found a stable opening line against lead Garchomp or Archaludon.Build article →
