Roli's team is a stall build, Mega Slowbro for physical walling, Snorlax for special, Toxapex as the soft cushion, with partner Garchomp locked in. Pure stall felt too passive, so Mega Scovillain joined as a special attacker that also eases the walls' load with burns, using Endeavor to punish the Hippowdon that rush in to set Stealth Rock, while Insomnia breaks Yawn loops. Scarf Hisuian Samurott rounds it out against wall-breakers like Gholdengo, Mega Delphox and Mega Gengar. The Endeavor-plus-Leech-Seed Scovillain is a fun trick, and a Fire Mega slots well into the meta. Toxapex is the best cushion, tanking even Metagross's Psychic Fangs once Scovillain burns the target. Snorlax runs Thick Fat for special bulk with Earthquake and Fissure as mind-game options. The author lists Annihilape, Gholdengo, Blastoise, Sub-Roost Dragonite and sudden Substitute setup sweepers as trouble.Build article →

This whole team was borrowed wholesale from another player, so the author skips build reasoning and just shares impressions from reaching Champion rank for the first time — it became a rain team after a random scout pull turned out far stronger and faster than expected. Garchomp, Meowscarada, and Metagross get picked together about 80% of the time; against Aegislash or Gholdengo, which trouble Metagross, the author leans on that pair instead, with Garchomp also Taunting Archaludon, its own worst matchup, to set Metagross up. Mega Gengar, Sylveon, and especially Mega Floette (which both preferred leads are weak to) were rough, often needing Garchomp to chip damage before the back line could close it out. The author credits the result mostly to the borrowed team and is aiming for a top-99 finish next season.Build article →

Gon built around a Focus Sash + Scale Shot Garchomp and centered the team on a three-way relationship between Garchomp, Archaludon, and Primarina, which beat all three. Primarina was configured with HB investment to take two Garchomp Earthquakes and handle all common Garchomp variants solo, pivoting out to Garchomp when facing Archaludon. Corviknight ran Taunt to shut down stall and cycle teams and serve as the main physical wall. Mega Gyarados closed out matchups with Dragon Dance against offensive teams and disrupted stall alongside Corviknight's Taunt. The team later replaced Mega Lucario with Mega Scizor after Mega Lopunny became too common: Scizor used Curse to build physical bulk until even Corviknight's Body Press could not break through, while also handling Meowscarada and Gengar. Bellibolt was a last-minute addition for physical matchups but lacked practice. The author felt there was still a clear skill gap compared to top players. Final placement: 261st, Champion rank.Build article →
Build article →

Shake ran a rare Mega Staraptor plus Mega Pyroar pairing, the idea being to chip hard and then push Pyroar or Garchomp through. The opening Mega Staraptor carries Final Gambit to forcibly whittle slow mons like Hippowdon, Primarina and Corviknight and open the way for the backline, plus U-turn to strip Mimikyu's disguise and punish pivots; just showing it at team preview baits out Mimikyu and Mega Delphox. Mega Pyroar was the Mega used in about 70% of games, brutal against the ubiquitous Mimikyu, one Overheat nukes Hippowdon, and it beats Gholdengo, Corviknight, Skarmory and Aegislash. Mimikyu is the super MVP, brought nearly every game, and once its Swords Dance plus Wood Hammer drops Hippowdon the game is basically won. Scarf Garchomp closes as the third pick with many removal routes alongside Mimikyu, and Archaludon adds Stealth Rock and answers Starmie and Greninja. The author lists Build article →

Drifting late in the season, the author saw a Choice Scarf Dragonite on someone else's ladder team, liked the surprise factor, and decided to disguise his whole team as a standard Mega Dragonite balance squad with Aegislash, Hippowdon and a Mega Glimmora, adding Mega Lopunny as a flexible second Mega and Primarina to beat Hippowdon and Perish Song Baton Pass teams. One Primarina wasn't enough against Hippowdon, so Aegislash became a max-Special-Attack Life Orb Steel Beam set that ambushes and one-shots physically defensive Hippowdon, and his win rate jumped. The whole plan is to manufacture easy wins: showing Mega Lopunny and Mega Glimmora makes opponents think Ground moves run through the team, so Garchomp clicks Earthquake and Dragonite gets a free switch-in, while Mega Glimmora pretends to be Focus Sash and mostly earns its slot by scaring bad leads off the field. Prominence756 based this team on the Mega Florges plus Scizor framework observed at the Raigeki offline tournament, incorporating refinements from top finisher Nanatuki. Toucannon and Basculegion were added to complete the final version. Mega Florges is the anchor: its near-universal coverage cannot be stopped by half-measures, and Ruinous Light chips away at otherwise safe switch-ins to set up cleaner finishes for the rest of the team. Toucannon runs Focus Sash with Attack and Speed investment; Beak Blast's high base power (boosted by Skill Link multi-hit moves) routinely surprises opponents who underestimate its 120 base Attack stat, and the burn it inflicts limits physical threats on the back foot. Garchomp leads with Stealth Rock to push Fire-types into Florges's OHKO range. Scarf Basculegion mostly baits counters but can sweep when the path is clear. Skeledirge uses Substitute to turn setup-heavy opponents into momentum opportunities and beats Corviknight and Volcarona reliably with Torch Song. HD Mega Scizor pairs with Toucannon's burns to stack Sword Dance safely. The author identified Mega Delphox cycle teams and Steel/Fire mirrors as the toughest matchups. Final result: 265th, Champion rank.Build article →
Ksun started with Focus Sash Basculegion and gradually replaced teammates until the team became a patchwork offensive squad. Mega Blastoise was added after a streamer recommendation and consistently delivered through confusion and flinch procs; Vanilluxe countered the Garchomp, Meowscarada, and Hydreigon opponents brought specifically to beat Basculegion; Mega Aegislash checked Lopunny and Florges threats; Mega Glimmora answered fast special attackers and Mega Dragonite; and Garganacl filled a disruptive role using Metal Burst with Focus Sash and Sturdy. The standard lead combination was Blastoise plus Vanilluxe or Blastoise plus Archaludon, with Basculegion in the back. The team's toughest matchup was Bellibolt, whose Electric moves ran through the whole squad essentially unchecked, and the Starmie plus Aegislash offensive cycle was also difficult due to poor cycle compatibility. The author acknowledged the team was somewhat improvised and hopes for a top-two-digit finish in a future season. Final result: 2600 rating, 267th place.Build article →
Aratama built this around making Orthworm the star, with every member catchable in a Friend Ball. Core Orthworm carries a U-turn-style Shed Tail plus Snake trap moves, and since Mega Raichu Y's selection pressure draws in ground types like Garchomp, it was chosen in nearly 100% of games; the trap move lands finishers on the Mimikyu that would otherwise steal Raichu with a Life Orb Play Rough and on the Floette it can't beat head-on, while naturally answering the popular Overqwil teams. Mega Raichu Y is the intimidation build, No Guard with Zap Cannon, Focus Blast, Grass Knot and Fake Out to break the lead-sash plans many opponents run. Life Orb Mimikyu has strong one-on-one presence, especially into Dragapult-plus-Garchomp, pivoting via Orthworm then setting up with its disguise intact. Focus Sash Primarina is the special matchup piece against slow Mega Dragonite games. Scrafty was addedBuild article →
