The author finished 148th in Champions M-1 doubles at rating 2501, running a Baton Pass Espathra strategy almost unheard of in doubles. Espathra's Speed Boost raises its speed every turn up to six stages; stacked with Calm Mind, it then passes all of Speed, Special Attack, and Special Defense to a back sweeper, creating a nearly unstoppable late-game threat. Double battles rarely have room for Roar, Dragon Tail, or Encore — the counters to Baton Pass in singles — giving this strategy natural protection. Sneasler holds Focus Sash to Fake Out-protect turn one and Coach the Espathra, activating Unburden for faster Baton Pass sequences. Mega Charizard Y is the primary receiver, with HP and Defense investment plus Roost for durability; post-pass it hits everything with high-powered Heat Wave. Archaludon holds Leftovers and runs Thunderbolt and Protect, becoming an unkillable wall after the Baton Pass. Sylveon with Choice Specs handles Kingambit and dragon-types. Incineroar provides Intimidate and Fake Out support for non-pass lineups. Weaknesses are Mega Gengar Perish Song and inconsistency against direct attacking teams.Build article →
The author finished 149th in M-A Season 1 doubles at 2501 rating with an offbeat Mega Pinsir and Anger Point Tauros (Paldea Water) combination. The key mechanism: Mega Pinsir uses Rototiller — a guaranteed critical hit move — on teammate Tauros to activate the Anger Point ability, maxing Tauros's Attack, followed by an Earthquake that sweeps the whole field. Mega Pinsir's evolution adds a Flying type, making it immune to partner's Earthquake, and Feint on Pinsir breaks opponent Protect or Wide Guard to ensure the Earthquake lands cleanly. Talonflame sets tailwind first and then intentionally gets knocked out — weakened by Brave Bird's recoil lowering its own Defense so Vanilluxe's Self-Destruct finishes it, clearing the field. Vanilluxe holds Silk Scarf and uses Self-Destruct to blast away leads, plus Icicle Spear to pierce Focus Sashes across three hits. Farigiraf and Mega Blastoise are brought against tailwind and trick room teams, with Farigiraf using Imprison to seal the opponent's Trick Room. Main weaknesses are the opening rock-paper-scissors against tailwind teams, and Mega Gengar Perish Song requiring the Blastoise line.Build article →
鬃岩狼人会招烈咬陆鲨,所以隔壁选了能压制烈咬陆鲨、对BIG6(Mega喷火龙Y、Mega花叶蒂、仆刀将军、幽尾玄鱼、烈咬陆鲨、风妖精)都有戏的Mega雪妖女,作为第二只Mega。 Build article →

Built around the simple but devastating Shell Smash + Hydro Pump combo of Mega Blastoise, the team pairs it with Choice Scarf Vivillon: Sleep Powder plus Fake Out puts both opponents to sleep before Shell Smash is used, and a +2 full-HP Hydro Pump from Mega Blastoise typically wins the game from there. Vanilluxe covers the Grass/Water/Dragon weaknesses and neutralizes the sun weather that would weaken Hydro Pump; Tsareena provides priority protection and uses Fling with the King's Rock to guarantee two Hydro Pump hits against Trick Room setters and Grass-types. The last two slots go to Mega Garchomp for power and Orthworm for Fairy matchups and tail support. The author acknowledges that the Sleep Powder strategy is predictable and high-bulk special Fairy-types remain a structural weakness.Build article →
The build started from a popular post-PJCS Switch-Trick Room team led by Sneasler + Farigiraf, but the author found it had no answer to Basculegion + Kingambit—Kingambit just Protects or pivots out. Swapping to Mega Blastoise + Farigiraf in front turned every match into a guessing game against Charizard + Floette and Basculegion + Kingambit, and forced Fake Out off the Mega slot, ruining the "chip first, then back-line Trick Room sweep" plan. So the author moved Blastoise + Sneasler to the front and kept Farigiraf in the back as the Trick Room setter. Because Blastoise gets worn down, Archaludon lacks breaking power, and Garchomp's Earthquake punishes the lead, Mega Froslass was added to deter common leads, set Aurora Veil, chip with spread moves, and Rain Dance for Archaludon. Sneasler keeps Feint pressure, Kingambit cleans with Supreme Overlord + Swords Dance + Sucker Punch after Trick Room. With no Dark move on Kingambit, Sylveon, Floette and mirror Kingambit under Trick Room are the team's pain points.Build article →

Playing his beloved Mega Mawile in doubles, the author reached final rank 163 and his first Champion-tier finish. He dropped a slow Trick Room plan in favor of a back-end Sucker Punch sweep: max-Attack, slowest-base-60 Mawile locks one target with Sucker Punch while its partner attacks freely. Dragonite leads, using Extreme Speed to move over Whimsicott's Prankster Encore, with Leftovers longevity and Substitute to absorb chip; the author dubs it the MVP. Sneasler handles Fairies and Steels, and Coaching plus Dragonite crushed the popular support-Delphox teams. Choice Scarf Gholdengo with Trick plus Disable neutralizes Archaludon, pairing with Annihilape to remove Kingambit. Mega Froslass stalls rain teams via Aurora Veil and Disable, while Incineroar's Intimidate boosts the team's bulk and provides a pivot for Trick Room matchups. He says fighting alongside Mawile made the season a joy.Build article →
Build article →
The author originally planned a Sylveon plus Mega Venusaur plus Basculegion team but was repeatedly crushed by Avalanche users and Mega Charizard's Weather Ball, mistakenly treated May 11 as the final day, and withdrew early. After recognizing the core strength of Mystic Water Basculegion, the author borrowed Naaku's qualifier-winning team for practice. Archaludon is identified as a bug-level threat and the team's primary backbone; Basculegion provides the sharpest offensive edge. Skarmory beats Talonflame-class threats faster than Dragonite can while still one-shotting them. Sylveon tanks nearly any hit through the Oran Berry and uses Hyper Voice plus Yawn to force switches. Sableye is versatile in both lead and revenge roles. Mega Venusaur handles rain and Trick Room. A proposed improvement is giving Basculegion Adaptability with a rain-calling move for dual Charizard matchups. The author rates Archaludon and Basculegion as tier-S and tier-A respectively.Build article →

The author built this Champions M-2 doubles team around the idea that all six members should contribute offensively, settling on a double-Mega core of Aerodactyl and Floette. Kingambit is the main win condition: Swords Dance plus Black Glasses pumps Sucker Punch high enough to plow through resists, while Incineroar and Sneasler chip with Fake Out and Feint to push targets into KO range. Choice Scarf Tsareena is the dedicated answer to the popular Blastoise + Vivillon and Blastoise + Farigiraf builds, hitting Triple Axel or Power Whip for a clean OHKO. Aerodactyl provides Tailwind and Rock Slide flinch pressure, and Mega Floette runs an aggressive set (no Draining Kiss, no Calm Mind), using Fairy Aura Dazzling Gleam that ignores Kommo-o's Soundproof — specifically there to patch up Kommo-o and rain Archaludon matchups. The author admits the team has no recovery and lives or dies by tempo, and that Aerodactyl's accuracy can betray you, as both Rock Slide and Dual Wingbeat missed during the finals.Build article →

The author is a diehard Mawile fan and locked Mega Mawile as a mandatory pick, building the whole team around her. Mawile is very slow, frail even after Mega, and weak to Earthquake and Heat Wave, so the plan is a back-line Mega Mawile with a delayed Trick Room. The lead is Annihilape plus Maushold: Maushold's Beat Up feeds Rage Fist while Friend Guard lets Annihilape shrug off Mega Charizard Y's Heat Wave, Floette's Dazzling Gleam, Torkoal's sun Eruption and Sylveon's Hyper Voice, then Rage Fist blasts away Charizard Y, Floette and Garchomp one after another. Sinistcha comes in third, healing Annihilape or Maushold while setting Trick Room to hand off to Mawile; the team fears Fire, so it runs an Occa Berry. Mawile carries Knock Off for Farigiraf and Basculegion, plus Rock Slide to beat Charizard and Pyroar. Delphox and Hydreigon were meant as answers but posted 0% usage since Mawile waBuild article →
