The author built around the Charizard-plus-Floette core that stays strong in the M-B format, aiming to beat the more common Blastoise and Delphox. Whimsicott runs max Speed for the mirror and holds a Pixie Plate so Moonblast hits Garchomp harder, playing safe support with Encore, Protect, and Tailwind. A surprise Life Orb Sneasler one-shots things like Mega Scovillain with Fatal Claw and adds Rock Slide for bulky Charizard. Charizard is invested to the max in bulk, while Floette boosts Whimsicott's power with Light of Ruin and Fairy Aura. Basculegion holds a Maranga Berry and just wins with Grave sweeps, and is also strong into sand. A Focus Sash all-out Kingambit hits the same Speed as max Delphox under Tailwind. The weak point is that it falls off under opposing terrain or weather, and struggles against fast pressure like Dragapult.Build article →

After Life Orb was unlocked in M-B, the author found Chlorophyll Venusaur hitting harder and ignoring Sinistcha's Rage Powder, but it folds to Heat Wave when the opponent leads the other Mega slot (Delphox, Charizard). So Mega Houndoom covers it: pre-Mega Flash Fire blocks fire and its Dark typing blocks Psychic, meshing vertically with Venusaur; post-Mega under sun plus Solar Power it hits 140 SpA, letting Overheat one-shot Sylveon and Mega Floette, with Incineroar and Garchomp in range after Helping Hand. Weaknesses: Solar Power self-damage, fire-resistant mons (Incineroar's Fake Out especially), and losing speed races at base 115 to Sneasler, Aerodactyl, Scarfers and Tailwind Whimsicott, plus dependence on Torkoal for sun. To patch this the author runs Choice Scarf Annihilape as an Incineroar answer and U-turn weather thief, and a Mega Kangaskhan plus Farigiraf Trick Room package agaiBuild article →

Playing his beloved Mega Mawile in doubles, the author reached final rank 163 and his first Champion-tier finish. He dropped a slow Trick Room plan in favor of a back-end Sucker Punch sweep: max-Attack, slowest-base-60 Mawile locks one target with Sucker Punch while its partner attacks freely. Dragonite leads, using Extreme Speed to move over Whimsicott's Prankster Encore, with Leftovers longevity and Substitute to absorb chip; the author dubs it the MVP. Sneasler handles Fairies and Steels, and Coaching plus Dragonite crushed the popular support-Delphox teams. Choice Scarf Gholdengo with Trick plus Disable neutralizes Archaludon, pairing with Annihilape to remove Kingambit. Mega Froslass stalls rain teams via Aurora Veil and Disable, while Incineroar's Intimidate boosts the team's bulk and provides a pivot for Trick Room matchups. He says fighting alongside Mawile made the season a joy.Build article →

The author is a diehard Mawile fan and locked Mega Mawile as a mandatory pick, building the whole team around her. Mawile is very slow, frail even after Mega, and weak to Earthquake and Heat Wave, so the plan is a back-line Mega Mawile with a delayed Trick Room. The lead is Annihilape plus Maushold: Maushold's Beat Up feeds Rage Fist while Friend Guard lets Annihilape shrug off Mega Charizard Y's Heat Wave, Floette's Dazzling Gleam, Torkoal's sun Eruption and Sylveon's Hyper Voice, then Rage Fist blasts away Charizard Y, Floette and Garchomp one after another. Sinistcha comes in third, healing Annihilape or Maushold while setting Trick Room to hand off to Mawile; the team fears Fire, so it runs an Occa Berry. Mawile carries Knock Off for Farigiraf and Basculegion, plus Rock Slide to beat Charizard and Pyroar. Delphox and Hydreigon were meant as answers but posted 0% usage since Mawile waBuild article →
The author started from wanting to use Mega Mawile and built a fake Trick Room team around it. Staraptor leads with Mimikyu, pressuring the opponent to play around a Final Gambit and Trick Room; while they Protect or switch to hedge, a blank turn opens up and the author sets up Tailwind plus Swords Dance for a commanding board. Staraptor with Focus Sash and Reckless is the MVP, baiting Protect by mere presence. Mimikyu sets up safely behind Disguise and punishes Kingambit and Incineroar with Drain Punch. Life Orb Pelipper hits shockingly hard while staying slow enough to keep the Trick Room disguise. Mega Blastoise covers Charizard, Archaludon and Garchomp, one-shotting Garchomp with Aura Sphere. Farigiraf only comes out against real Trick Room and Perish teams, blocking their Trick Room with Imprison. The author notes the team leans hard on opponent play and loses surprise value once thBuild article →
The author started out building a rain team that closed games with Politoed Perish Song, then realised he could just force two knockouts with a surprise line and Perish from there, which led him to Mega Banette — Prankster, 165 Attack, and Destiny Bond in one package. The core play is a priority Swagger on his own Sneasler: with Attack doubled, Close Combat one-shots Life Orb Garchomp and Mega Swampert, Rock Slide kills Mega Charizard, and Throat Chop takes out Basculegion and Gholdengo, with Destiny Bond forcing extra trades until Politoed can Perish the last two. He insists the team is not one-dimensional — Frisk reveals opposing items so his reads get far more accurate, Banette can set Trick Room for Sylveon and Archaludon, and Corviknight simply Iron Defense-stalls out teams once its checks are gone. Swagger missing is both the team's greatest strength and its greatest weakness, and Build article →
