The author built this Champions M-2 doubles team around the idea that all six members should contribute offensively, settling on a double-Mega core of Aerodactyl and Floette. Kingambit is the main win condition: Swords Dance plus Black Glasses pumps Sucker Punch high enough to plow through resists, while Incineroar and Sneasler chip with Fake Out and Feint to push targets into KO range. Choice Scarf Tsareena is the dedicated answer to the popular Blastoise + Vivillon and Blastoise + Farigiraf builds, hitting Triple Axel or Power Whip for a clean OHKO. Aerodactyl provides Tailwind and Rock Slide flinch pressure, and Mega Floette runs an aggressive set (no Draining Kiss, no Calm Mind), using Fairy Aura Dazzling Gleam that ignores Kommo-o's Soundproof — specifically there to patch up Kommo-o and rain Archaludon matchups. The author admits the team has no recovery and lives or dies by tempo, and that Aerodactyl's accuracy can betray you, as both Rock Slide and Dual Wingbeat missed during the finals.Build article →

The author lifted this doubles squad almost wholesale from an overseas tournament team and finished S2 of Regulation M-A at rank 230 (Master Ball tier). The core idea is Mega Froslass reliably tanking Garchomp hits while setting Snow, with Basculegion as the snow-boosted finisher. Against the dominant Mega Charizard Y, the team stacks three answers: Black Glasses + Swords Dance Sucker Punch Kingambit, Sneasler covered by Lycanroc's Accelerock, and Basculegion's Wave Crash/Last Respects after snow flips the weather. Sneasler chips Mega Florges with Fatal Claw and threatens enemy Kingambit, while Scovillain is the rain-buster paired with Kingambit's Fake Out + Swords Dance setup. Lycanroc carries Focus Sash and Tough Claws Close Combat to handle opposing Kingambit. Everyone runs Protect for Trick Room games. The author's main weakness: HB Mega Charizard Y survives Sucker Punch, and sand teams with both Corviknight and Kommo-o get awkward fast.Build article →

The author has long used Torkoal and wanted to push it beyond a pure Trick Room attacker into a flexible lead that can trade against Basculegion and Garchomp's super-effective hits, fight Floette evenly, and punish the Kingambit that opponents bring to stop Trick Room. Since Torkoal still loses to Garchomp and Charizard, they borrowed an Ice Fang Mega Aerodactyl plan, then paired Torkoal with Venusaur after seeing how strong the "Venu-Coal" lead is — Sleep Powder plus spread fire lets it handle PJCS-winning teams and support builds, with Mega Aerodactyl as the follow-up. A Trick Room sub-plan with Mega Blastoise (Dark Pulse/Aura Sphere hitting Froslass, Archaludon and Tyranitar), Farigiraf using Psychic Fangs to break screens, and Sylveon for chip vs Archaludon/Politoed covers the weather matchups Venu-Coal struggles with. Author's self-assessment: Torkoal's output is shockingly stable, Sleep Powder is so strong it tempts misuse against Froslass, and Aegislash plus accuracy rolls are the main worries.Build article →

The author copied a PJCS finalist's perish-song team — Mega Gengar, Incineroar, Politoed, Sinistcha, Archaludon, Froslass — and finished 290th at 2242 in Champions Doubles M-2, hitting Champion rank. Core idea: treat Perish Song not just as a KO move but as a board-clear and setup-reset tool, and chain delayed second perishes. Mega Gengar is the absolute centerpiece, aiming to fire Perish Song up to three times per match; being switched out once doesn't hurt. Politoed was the MVP — its bulk plus Sinistcha's Hospitality lets Hypnosis flip almost any losing matchup. Sinistcha (Hospitality + Rage Powder) smoothly bridges the perish phase into Archaludon's wincon, and a Leftovers Archaludon stacking Electro Shot becomes untouchable. Downsides: Incineroar's usage dropped because Sinistcha alone bridges perish→Archaludon; Froslass is read easily and only came out against Hisuian Zoroark or threats to Gengar's HP. The author admits he leaned on Archaludon too hard and skipped damage calcs.Build article →
This is a doubles hard Trick Room team. The core plan is to set Trick Room reliably with a Farigiraf and Incineroar lead, then let slow heavy hitters like Crabominable, special Mega Camerupt and Kingambit clean up under it. Sinistcha is a later addition as a meta tech: only so many things can be stopped by Fake Out, and the team badly fears Ghost-type Taunt and Imprison denying Trick Room, so Sinistcha is its dedicated answer. It runs full bulk with Heatproof to tank Mega Charizard Y, carrying Trick Room, Matcha Gotcha, Rage Powder to draw fire, and Imprison to counter-seal the opponent's Imprison and set TR up safely, also reliably beating Vivillon, Tsareena and Farigiraf. For selection the lead is basically locked to Farigiraf plus Incineroar; Basculegion always brings Kingambit, and special threats like Scovillain are handled safely by Mega Camerupt.Build article →
Build article →
This is the author's Doubles M-A Season 2 team, reusing the same six Pokémon as Season 1 with retuned spreads and moves. The core plan is Torkoal setting Trick Room while Mega Golurk is the TR sweeper; the Farigiraf + Sneasler lead handles the opening turns. Farigiraf gets Psyshock to punish Calm Mind Floette/Sylveon, Grimmsnarl and Scale-Noise Kommo-o, plus Thunderbolt to quickly remove Mega Charizard Y, Pelipper and Basculegion. Sneasler swaps to Focus Sash + Adamant AS for more one-shot reliability and picks up Feint to act under Trick Room. Incineroar drops to 1 Speed EV for clarity and is bulked to survive Wave Crash from a 0.67 mod male Basculegion. Sylveon adds Calm Mind + Moonblast for flexibility into Kommo-o and Wide Guard users; Golurk's Def drops from 143 to 138 with the leftover dumped into 220 Atk. The author rates the team good vs Camerupt TR and weak vs Aerodactyl/Kingambit/Sylveon comps.Build article →
The author finished 493rd (2150) wanting a Floette plus Whimsicott Tailwind core that runs only one Mega and drops Mega Charizard Y. They stalled in the four-digit ranks all month, then on the last day just ran cona's PJCS-winning team verbatim and gained 250 rating overnight. The article argues why Floette can replace Charizard Y: Y fears Rock moves, fears rain (even a manual Rain Dance Mega Froslass shuts it down) and shaky-accuracy Heat Wave, and can't coexist with Floette for the Mega slot, while Floette's reliable Dazzling Gleam and Moonblast plus 90-accuracy Light of Ruin handle bad matchups. The base is Floette, Whimsicott, and two priority-move sub-attackers, the snag being that generic Fire types lose to Basculegion, so they tested Hisuian Arcanine, Chandelure, and Volcarona for the Fire slot. The conclusion: if a generic Fire type can inherit Charizard Y's job against BasculegiBuild article →
