The author copied a PJCS finalist's perish-song team — Mega Gengar, Incineroar, Politoed, Sinistcha, Archaludon, Froslass — and finished 290th at 2242 in Champions Doubles M-2, hitting Champion rank. Core idea: treat Perish Song not just as a KO move but as a board-clear and setup-reset tool, and chain delayed second perishes. Mega Gengar is the absolute centerpiece, aiming to fire Perish Song up to three times per match; being switched out once doesn't hurt. Politoed was the MVP — its bulk plus Sinistcha's Hospitality lets Hypnosis flip almost any losing matchup. Sinistcha (Hospitality + Rage Powder) smoothly bridges the perish phase into Archaludon's wincon, and a Leftovers Archaludon stacking Electro Shot becomes untouchable. Downsides: Incineroar's usage dropped because Sinistcha alone bridges perish→Archaludon; Froslass is read easily and only came out against Hisuian Zoroark or threats to Gengar's HP. The author admits he leaned on Archaludon too hard and skipped damage calcs.Build article →

The team is built around Mega Gengar plus Gravity, motivated by the discovery that a Modest full-Special-Attack Gengar's Focus Blast OHKOs HP-invested Kingambit. Sableye sets Gravity using its own Prankster to cancel opposing Prankster, then uses Encore or Bind to immobilize a target while Mega Gengar locks it down with Shadow Tag. Maushold's Population Bomb becomes a guaranteed hit under Gravity and specifically handles Florges and Sylveon lines. Archaludon was added to counter Mega Blastoise; Pelipper supports Archaludon in rain; Basculegion cleans up in the mid-to-late game, made safer by Hypnosis or Bind support. The author identifies clear weaknesses: Farigiraf shuts down Sableye, Choice Scarf Hydreigon one-shots Gengar, Garchomp's Rough Skin punishes Maushold's Population Bomb, and Life Orb Basculegion used from turn one is essentially unkillable.Build article →

The author built this team around Mega Froslass, first listing its five worst matchups: BIG6-style Mega Charizard Y teams, Archaludon rain, "caretaker" support cores, Trick Room lineups (especially Vivillon+Blastoise), and the Staraptor+Excadrill sand offense. The core engine is Froslass's Disable plus Whimsicott's Encore, which locks down otherwise unkillable threats like Scarf Tyranitar, wall Archaludon, and Calm Mind Floette. Whimsicott sets Tailwind; Sneasler with White Herb + Unburden sweeps with Close Combat and one-shots Floette via Dire Claw. Adamant Life Orb Basculegion handles Zard Y front lines, Kingambit patches Fairy and mirror matches, and Modest Mega Dragonite runs Whirlwind to blow out Fake Out+Trick Room leads and hard-counter Vivillon. The author feels the Disable+Encore lock is the team's real strength; the weakness is that selection is very matchup-feely and Froslass has zero raw power.Build article →
This is a doubles hard Trick Room team. The core plan is to set Trick Room reliably with a Farigiraf and Incineroar lead, then let slow heavy hitters like Crabominable, special Mega Camerupt and Kingambit clean up under it. Sinistcha is a later addition as a meta tech: only so many things can be stopped by Fake Out, and the team badly fears Ghost-type Taunt and Imprison denying Trick Room, so Sinistcha is its dedicated answer. It runs full bulk with Heatproof to tank Mega Charizard Y, carrying Trick Room, Matcha Gotcha, Rage Powder to draw fire, and Imprison to counter-seal the opponent's Imprison and set TR up safely, also reliably beating Vivillon, Tsareena and Farigiraf. For selection the lead is basically locked to Farigiraf plus Incineroar; Basculegion always brings Kingambit, and special threats like Scovillain are handled safely by Mega Camerupt.Build article →
The author is a dedicated Absol fan who brings it to every doubles match, finishing season M-B M-3 at rank 312 (rating 2353) with a 70% win rate and a 16-game win streak on the final day. The core gameplan is to set Trick Room via Farigiraf or Mimikyu, then use Sack Punch to boost Absol to Attack+4, sweeping with Rock Slide, Sucker Punch, and Close Combat. Mega Camerupt serves as a powerful secondary attacker under Trick Room, while Basculegion (Focus Sash, 100% usage) cleans up with Aqua Jet. The lead order of Absol, Mega Camerupt, and Mega Kangaskhan is designed to make opponents misread which Pokemon hold the Mega Stones. Main weaknesses are Grimmsnarl's screens stalling out Absol, and Yache Berry Kingambit being difficult to reliably remove.Build article →

The build evolved from a Staraptor+sand Excadrill team by cutting Milotic, aiming for a "seize turn one and remove the opponent's options" hybrid of matchup pressure and setup. The core lead is Kingambit+Whimsicott: Whimsicott provides priority Tailwind, Encore lock, and Sash chip support, while Life Orb Adamant Kingambit swings huge spread damage and priority under Tailwind. Behind them, Scarf Garchomp outspeeds enemy Whimsicott and Unburden Sneasler in Tailwind mirrors, Mega Glimmora one-shots Floette, Charizard, and Incineroar, Mega Dragonite gives bulk, spread coverage, and Trick Room stalling, and Mystic Water male Basculegion cleans with Tailwind-boosted hits and Aqua Jet. The author rates the turn-one pressure and Tailwind mirror as huge strengths, but flags Glimmora as fragile and slightly underpowered—easily blanked by Protect—and the matchup versus Swampert-based rain as very tough, requiring careful board control to keep Glimmora shooting.Build article →
Build article →
The team was built around Mega Kangaskhan in doubles, aiming to win through raw damage-race strength rather than passive play. Annihilape with Choice Scarf covers the widest range of matchups and shuts down Incineroar's Intimidate via Defiant; Ceruledge uses Flash Fire to absorb fire moves from Mega Charizard Y and similar threats, then explodes with Poltergeist and Shadow Sneak behind a Focus Sash — the author calls it the team's first MVP. Aegislash was added late to replace Maushold, intentionally overlapping roles with multiple teammates to reduce losses from focused KOs, and became the second MVP. The author's self-assessed weaknesses are that Choice Scarf Annihilape was harder to pilot than expected due to lock-in, Froslass felt lacking in both firepower and bulk, and the peak rating of 2340 slipped before the final finish at 351st.Build article →
