The author compiled three Doubles team iterations covering the Global Challenge, PJCS Qualifier, and Season M-1 Ranked in one post, eventually reaching rank 230 in the ladder. The Global Challenge core was Mega Froslass + Sneasler + Basculegion + Kingambit, where Blizzard freeze chances and Taunt were key tools; after a 28-8 run and PJCS qualification, the author reflected that Sneasler was vulnerable to Psychic moves and Mega Aerodactyl was too fast to handle, leading to adding Mega Dragonite for the Qualifier to cover Blastoise, high-bulk Steel types, and Trick Room. The Qualifier ended 12-8 and the author narrowly missed through. For the final Ranked push, the lineup became Mega Froslass + Sneasler + Mega Dragonite + Basculegion + Kingambit + Choice Scarf Hydreigon, with core leads of Sneasler + Mega Dragonite backed by Basculegion + Kingambit. Dragonite's Multiscale and coverage handled Blastoise, steel tanks, and Trick Room threats; three priority moves across the back row created wide tactical options. The author went 18-3 from the 2200s straight to Champion rank.Build article →
The author lifted this doubles squad almost wholesale from an overseas tournament team and finished S2 of Regulation M-A at rank 230 (Master Ball tier). The core idea is Mega Froslass reliably tanking Garchomp hits while setting Snow, with Basculegion as the snow-boosted finisher. Against the dominant Mega Charizard Y, the team stacks three answers: Black Glasses + Swords Dance Sucker Punch Kingambit, Sneasler covered by Lycanroc's Accelerock, and Basculegion's Wave Crash/Last Respects after snow flips the weather. Sneasler chips Mega Florges with Fatal Claw and threatens enemy Kingambit, while Scovillain is the rain-buster paired with Kingambit's Fake Out + Swords Dance setup. Lycanroc carries Focus Sash and Tough Claws Close Combat to handle opposing Kingambit. Everyone runs Protect for Trick Room games. The author's main weakness: HB Mega Charizard Y survives Sucker Punch, and sand teams with both Corviknight and Kommo-o get awkward fast.Build article →
The author started from wanting to use Steelix and leaned into its most extreme number — weight. At 740kg, Mega Steelix gets the strongest Heavy Slam in the format, and it pairs that with Body Press for damage and Wide Guard to buy its partner free turns. Tyranitar covers the Fire types Steelix hates and its sand turns on Sand Force; Sinistcha brings Hospitality, Trick Room and Rage Powder; Mega Froslass is the hard answer to Mega Staraptor and holds up against rain; Rotom-Mow abuses how little the field prepares for Will-O-Wisp. The last cushion slot was Incineroar for a long time, but with Steelix and Tyranitar out together that left Water, Fighting and Ground all running through the team, so Garchomp took over — it has the resistances and chips on the switch-in with Rough Skin. There is no fixed lead; the author says the real skill is reading the opponent's back two and managing HP raBuild article →

The author built this doubles team around Overqwil as an evasion sweeper, since it is the only mon that learns Minimize, does not fear Kingambit, and can pile on evasion with Toxic Spikes. Audino sets Trick Room and uses Simple Beam so Overqwil only needs three Stockpiles to max its defenses, while Whimsicott (Memento/Taunt/Will-O-Wisp) and Zoroark cover leads like Vivillon and Follow Me users. Once Overqwil stacks Minimize and Swords Dance under Trick Room, Malamar copies it with Psycho Shift-style Topsy-Turvy to spread crit risk and shut down Intimidate. The author says the worst matchup is Shell Smash Blastoise plus Sneasler, so Chandelure runs a Life Orb Grass Knot set as insurance; Sacred Sword users like Basculegion and Aegislash are nearly unwinnable, but the team beats top builds like BIG6 and Aerodactyl-Kingambit at a high rate.Build article →
Build article →

The team is built around Mega Froslass paired with Garchomp, Weavile, Basculegion, Kingambit, and Snorlax. The author rebuilt a known team from a fellow player, adding a Leftovers+Yawn Snorlax that most tier lists ignore or rank bottom — personally rated B-tier for its ability to sponge non-Fighting moves, deflect threats with Yawn, and set the pace behind screens. Mega Froslass sets dual screens and pressures with its Levitate form; Scarf Garchomp opens with Rock Blast to slow targets for sweepers; Weavile runs max speed for mirror priority; Basculegion is the unconditional faith pick for Tomb attack; Kingambit is tuned to survive Fighting hits from Snorlax. The main weakness acknowledged: noticing Incineroar and Venusaur were trouble but leaving them unaddressed, which ultimately cost the author a qualification run.Build article →
The author openly admits this team is a copy of a niche overseas build: originally Chinese player Dawei Si's NAIC 2026 squad, updated to Reg M-B by Germany's Michael (who Top-8'd a Smogon VGC Major with it), then further tweaked by Korean top player Jiseok Lee, swapping the Mega Florges/Mega Mawile slot for Alolan Ninetales. The core is Mega Raichu-Y plus Milotic: Raichu spams Zap Cannon for paralysis while Milotic uses Coil then Hypnosis, grinding opponents down with status. Ninetales sets Aurora Veil and OHKOs Mega Swampert with Never-Melt Ice Freeze-Dry, Staraptor is the Mega Contrary Close Combat sweeper, Incineroar handles standard Fake Out/Intimidate/Parting Shot, and Ceruledge cleans up after Bulk Up with Flash Fire boosts. Strength is pure surprise value against opponents who've never seen it; weakness is rematches where the setup gets read.Build article →
