This build is a straight reuse of an earlier team, with two tweaks: Aerodactyl swaps Protect for Wide Guard, trading some flexibility for better answers to spread-move users like Sylveon, and Floette drops Draining Kiss for Moonblast since it rarely got used. Later, expecting Sinistcha in popular teams, he retooled Farigiraf's move and Garchomp's EVs, but it barely mattered so he reverted within three days. He also started leading with Sylveon more often, instead of his usual Farigiraf, Sneasler, or Incineroar, just to throw off opponents' reads. He credits the familiar team and rivals distracted by the World Championships for holding Champion rank, but says a 13-win streak stalled once opponents adapted in rematches, and reviewing his notes later helped him finish with a better ratinBuild article →
