A longtime TR fan, he built around Wide Lens Maushold's Population Bomb, using Follow-Me-plus-Trick-Room setups so that Maushold alone handles both spread-plus-priority offense and Calm Mind setup teams. Newly unlocked Mega Mawile became the TR attacker after he found it absurdly strong. The TR setter is Malamar, which he raves about: a Dark/Psychic type weak only to Fairy and Bug, it ignores Intimidate, punishes Incineroar via Contrary, and disguises the team as a support build alongside Maushold. This is a doubles-ranked season result-and-impressions post; in the back half the author reused last season's six without a fresh build writeup, only explaining a few move changes. The core was tuning against popular Milotic and Ceruledge: Farigiraf swapped to Psychic Noise so Ceruledge can't touch it, also handy versus Floette support teams; Sylveon's Hyper Beam, riding a 1.5x Special Attack, reliably OHKOs bulky Milotic and rolls to KO full-HP Kingambit, giving it good utility. Incineroar took DDL to punish Ceruledge stacking Bulk Up, moving points from Attack into bulk; Sneasler added Fake Out for a more stable line against Aerodactyl-plus-Kingambit leads. Torcoal built an all-in rain team of five Water-types to reach rank 87 in the doubles division at 2376.5. The trigger was Mega Swampert unlocking and learning Wave Crash, plus Damp Rock extending rain so the setter no longer has to pivot out to keep pace. The core is Damp Rock Pelipper as the main rain setter, with Swift Swim Swampert and male Life Orb Basculegion as the rain sweepers, while Choice Scarf Politoed steals weather with manual Rain Dance and handles Mega Charizard Y and Mega Froslass. Sash Greninja uses Weather Ball and Water Shuriken to win Tailwind mirrors and pin enemy Whimsicott, and Sturdy Archaludon uses Snarl against Trick Room and serves as the setter's safe switch. The author builds around one doubles idea: every member can deal damage, rebuilt for the M-B format, finishing 104th. The core is a Kingambit plus Sneasler plus Incineroar cycle, with Incineroar as the anchor thanks to Intimidate, Fake Out, and Parting Shot pivoting plus attack drops. Choice-item Kingambit Swords Dances and shreds anything, while Focus Sash Poison Touch Sneasler cracks the opponent's Protect turns with Feint and Fatal Claw.
